When the installation will be completed, the cameras are expected to provide vital information to the federal police and solving security issues of the political capital of Africa.

Currently the cameras are on trial and expected to go fully operational soon, according to Mr. Abdulbasit, who is quoted by FBC.

Federal Police ICT infrastructure division head Deputy Inspector Andinet Sisay, on his part stated that the technology has been proven vital in the developed countries and urged drivers and the public to protect the cameras as their own property.
