Ethiopian Airlines removes planned Asmara – Europe service from Dec 2018

Ethiopian Airlines in this week’s schedule update removed planned service resumption between Asmara (Eritrea) and Europe, previously scheduled to commence from December 2018.

The Star Alliance carrier previously planned to operate following routes:

Addis Ababa – Asmara – London Heathrow eff 01DEC18 3 weekly A350-900XWB
Addis Ababa – Asmara – Oslo – Stockholm Arlanda eff 12DEC18 2 weekly 787-8
Addis Ababa – Asmara – Rome – Milan Malpensa eff 11DEC18 3 weekly 777-200LR/787-8 service 

As a result of this latest adjustment, Ethiopian will continue to operate 10 weekly Addis Ababa – London Heathrow route, 7 weekly flights to Rome and Milan Malpensa, and 6 weekly to Oslo and Stockholm Arlanda (6th weekly flight from 10DEC18). Etihopian will continue to operate  Addis Ababa – Asmara sector 14 weekly.
