Legendary Artist Tsehaytu Beraki passes away

Legendary artist Tsehaytu Beraki passed away on 24 May in Holland at the age of 79.

The legendary artist Tsehaytu began her artistic career as a singer at the age of 16 and has produced a number of patriotic songs and made due contribution through her music in the advancement of Eritrean music and the struggle for liberation. Legendary artist Tsehaytu joined the Eritrean Liberation Front (ELF) in 1977.

The funeral service of the legendary artist Tsehaytu Beraki was held on 31st May at 12:00 AM at the St. Mary Cemetery, here in the Capital.

Expressing deep sorrow on the passing away of the legendary artist Tsehaytu Beraki, the office of PFDJ Cultural Affairs and the Association of Eritrean Musicians express condolences to her family and friends.
