A 20-year-old man from Glimmen has known that he killed his 23-year-old friend and her six-year-old daughter.
The bodies of the victims were found on 14 October last year in their home at the Jufferpad in Haren.
The woman was strangled with the cord of a telephone charger. In addition, she had stab wounds in her neck. The six-year-old girl was suffocated with a cloth. There was also a 1-year-old child in the house. That remained unharmed.
On Thursday the case was on the agenda of the court in Groningen for the first time, but no substantive treatment took place yet. The suspect, from Eritrea, was not present at the hearing. He is twice accused of manslaughter.
