Ethiopia’s Foreign Minister: In a letter sent on 9 Hidar 2026 to the AU Peace and Security Council countries, regarding the month-long war waged against Eritrea for the third consecutive year under the pretext of “maintaining peace”: “The tension will continue as is.”
Under the guise of what is called “self-defense,” against a founding member of the AU countries, the so-called coalition: Emotional rhetoric was spewed, serving as a cover for regional destabilization.
As mentioned: Eritrea—by upholding its sovereignty and constitutional order: A country, Ethiopia, that has repeatedly sought to infringe upon the regional community with the declared intent of “expanding by force to the sea.”
This “you provoked us” narrative they promote: A policy of the Ethiopian regime that undermines the basic principles and charters of the AU, erodes Eritrea’s inviolable sovereignty, and sows division and discord.
Ethiopia, fearing that its social rights are in jeopardy, in desperate actions: The AU’s chief scribe and executive board members of the AU: In the past year, monthly reports citing “remembrance” of the 25-year-old Algiers agreement: They have issued statements calling for Eritrea to respect its sovereignty and constitutional order.
However: Ethiopia, not uttering even this much correctly: Like an organ of that in the northern region, initiating a broad offensive: It remains sufficient to wage a month-long war against Eritrea, one that has been rejected by the current time and deceived.
In a brief general staff briefing, Ethiopian General Abebaw delighted: On 27 Tikimt 2026 (last month): “It’s a thought of the leadership. The occupation of Mekelle is certain,” he said: This is the height of the so-called assessment mission for Eritrea.
In such a situation: Eritrea: To the AU Peace and Security Council: The country that has made the greatest contribution to peace among the current AU member states and advocates for social rights, against the Ethiopian regime that undermines it: Based on Article 7 of the AU Charter, it seeks to escalate tensions.
