Somalia and Eritrea set to play a friendly match in Mogadishu
ASMARA ( Halbeeg News)-Under 20 Eritrean national football team is set to arrive in Mogadishu in the forthcoming days for the friendly match with their Somali counterparts.
Officials from the Eritrean football federation who are expected to arrive in Mogadishu next week have confirmed the soccer match.
The international friendly game which will be the first to be staged inside Somalia since the 1980s is a positive recipe for recuperating sports sector in the country.
Djibouti national football team are also expected to play their second-round friendly match in Mogadishu, under 20 Somali team won by four goals to zero in the 1st leg played in Djibouti on December last year.
The news comes ahead of April this year’s soccer schedule dubbed ‘Peace Cup’ in which Asmara will host Djibouti, Somalia, and Ethiopia.
